Grand Island, NE — The Hornady 300 PRC has been named the 2020 American Hunter Ammunition Product of the Year as part of the National Rifle Association Publications Golden Bullseye Awards. In addition to the award, the 300 PRC will be featured in the May issue of American Hunter magazine.
Tested and selected by the U.S. Department of Defense for its extended long-range sniping program, the 300 PRC launches heavy-for-caliber, high-performance bullets accurately and efficiently. Based on the 375 Ruger cartridge case, the 300 PRC uses common, temperature-stable, magnum-speed rifle powders for consistent velocity and increased barrel life.
The 300 PRC is available in 225 gr ELD® Match and 212 gr ELD-X® Precision Hunter®.
“At Hornady, we’re always looking to the future and that next achievement that will take ballistic science where it’s never been before,” Hornady Vice President Jason Hornady said. “With the 300 PRC, we wanted to craft a 30-caliber match-accurate cartridge for the 21st century and beyond, and this Golden Bullseye Award proves we’ve achieved what we set out to do.”
In their 18th year, the Golden Bullseye Awards honor the finest products available in shooting sports. Winners are chosen by a seven-member committee of NRA Publications editors and staff with more than a century of combined experience in the firearms industry.
